{"id":4795,"date":"2025-09-29T17:48:22","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T15:48:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.p692779.webspaceconfig.de\/?post_type=news&#038;p=4795"},"modified":"2026-01-13T14:03:58","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T13:03:58","slug":"modernization-with-impact-yellowstone-relies-on-hiller-decatec-technology","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.hillerzentri.de\/en\/news\/modernization-with-impact-yellowstone-relies-on-hiller-decatec-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"Modernization with impact: YellowStone relies on Hiller DecaTec technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When YellowStone Environmental Solutions, a leader in environmental waste solutions, wanted to replace and update an old three phase centrifuge system, it turned to the trusted DecaTec machine from Hiller, provided by MSE Hiller.<\/p>\n<p>YellowStone\u2019s old three phase centrifuge system, which has been in use at its purpose-built treatment facility in Shaftesbury, Dorset, had become unreliable and unable to keep up with site capacity.<\/p>\n<p>The facility handles a number of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams providing high-quality, innovative waste solutions for customers for multiple sectors, including aviation and aerospace, garages and forecourts, manufacturing and the oil and gas industries.<\/p>\n<p>To replace the old system, YellowStone installed a Hiller DecaTec model DO54 centrifuge as part of a complete system upgrade.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4779\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4779\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4779\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/do54-centrifuge-at-yellowstone-environmental-thumb2x-w935.jpg\" alt=\"A metal industrial machine with a conveyor belt and blue motor components stands in a warehouse. Nearby is a large white plastic container with a metal frame on a stained concrete floor.\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4779\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The new HILLER DecaTec Decanter Centrifuge installed at Yellowstone Environmental<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The new DecaTec centrifuge processes 5 &#8211; 7 m3\/hr of waste oils from various industrial and retail sources, splitting them into their Oil \/ Water \/ Solids fractions.<\/p>\n<p>The recovered oil from the new centrifuge is of such a quality that it can be reused and sold into the market. Additionally, the water phase is recycled through the site\u2019s wastewater treatment process and the solids are disposed of as waste.<\/p>\n<p>The centrifuge also boasts an automated system control panel with automatic wash facility, feed pump, P&amp;P PDF2000 automatic polymer make up and dosing system, new support stand, pipework, valves, flowmeters and shaftless screw conveyor to discharge the dewatered cake into holding skips.<\/p>\n<p>Jay Thacker, YellowStone\u2019s general manager of the Shaftesbury site commented: \u201cWe are very pleased with the MSE Hiller DecaTec installation.
