New CPR Manikin for the Vilsbiburg Water Rescue Team

In an emergency, every second often counts, and every move must be second nature. To be optimally prepared for a real-life emergency, realistic training is essential for rescue personnel. For this reason, HILLER has now donated a state-of-the-art CPR manikin worth over 3,500 euros to the Vilsbiburg Water Rescue.

“We are very pleased to be able to support such an important local association,” emphasizes Thomas Barth, COO of HILLER GmbH. “The volunteer helpers of the Water Rescue make an enormous contribution to safety in our region. With the new training manikin, we want to express our great appreciation for this commitment and actively promote local training.”

Just how important and, above all, how active the Water Rescue in Vilsbiburg is can be seen by taking a look at the association’s impressive figures: only re-established in 2023, the local chapter has 60 dedicated members, including 34 adults and 26 children and youths.

In the past swimming season alone, the volunteers completed a massive workload:

  • 814 duty and lifeguarding hours were performed to ensure the safety of swimmers
  • 791 hours went into the training and education of children and youths
  • 288 hours were spent on adult training and further education
  • In addition, an impressive 204 swimming badges were awarded during the season

This impressive track record illustrates the passion and dedication with which the association pursues the important tasks of swimming instruction and water rescue. With the new CPR manikin sponsored by the Hiller company, members can now train in resuscitation techniques—from chest compressions to artificial respiration—under the most modern and realistic conditions.

The HILLER company wishes the Vilsbiburg Water Rescue much success in their training with the new manikin, and wishes all association members and swimmers a safe, accident-free season.
