The rising costs of sewage sludge disposal force sewage treatment plants to continuously optimise their sludge treatment. Mechanical disintegration offers proven process-related and economic advantages in this regard. Disintegration aims to improve the properties of sewage sludge for further treatment. This leads to:
Reduced viscosity and improved pumping properties
Up to 40% reduced viscosity and significantly improved pumping properties facilitate sludge transport in pipes – directly from the centrifuge and without additional equipment.
Increased degradation of the organic content through anaerobic fermentation
Enables longer retention time in the digestion tower and thus more efficient digestion.

HILLER centrifuges can be optionally equipped with lysate technology, which is installed directly in the area of the sludge discharge openings. Alternatively, we also supply our decanter centrifuges with the appropriate preparation for later retrofitting if required.
