From an idea grew an internationally successful technology leader in separation technology.
On 1st November 1971, the company HILLER was founded by Georg Hiller Sr., along with Josef Oberhauser and Hans Hiller, as an independent engineering consultancy for the design of decanters.
The foundation stone for a successful family business was laid.
Thanks to the successful collaboration with KHD of Cologne, Germany, the HILLER engineering consultancy evolved into an independent company.
In-house machine production began at the end of 1972.
In 1977, the workshop was built at the current location, followed by the first part of the office building.
Since 1980, HILLER has been the only decanter manufacturer to also manufacture a high-performance hydraulic drive for use with its decanters machines.
Just 13 years after its foundation, HILLER shipped its 1,000th decanter – a clear sign of growing demand and market presence.
Following the end of the exclusive agreement with the KHD Group, HILLER entered the market under its own label with the DecaPress high-performance decanter.
In the same year, Georg Hiller Jr. joined the management team of HILLER GmbH.
HILLER is on a growth path. With new production halls, machinery, and software, HILLER expanded its expertise and manufacturing capabilities throughout the 2000s to serve a wide range of applications.
In 2010, the new DecaPress series was launched onto the market. Since then, it has been continuously optimized and expanded with additional sizes.
In the same year, HILLER also began developing and manufacturing its own gearboxes.
By joining the Ferrum Group in 2018, HILLER opened up new synergies and international growth opportunities.
On its 50th anniversary, HILLER reflects on a successfull history – with over 6,500 machines delivered worldwide.
HILLER has established a strong market position in the environmental, food, mining, and various other industries. The executive leadership is now headed by Georg von Massenbach as CSO, Dietmar Heller as CEO and Thomas Barth as COO. (In the picture, from left to right).
